Artistic Duo Sells 8,000 T-Shirts in One Year

What It’s About

When the newspaper industry tanks, two friends prepare to strike out on their own.

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

According to the Factory 43 duo, knowing you’re in control of your future, and that nobody will come along and fire you, provided a peace of mind that’s hard to put a price on. And having the flexibility to spend time with friends and family when you want to, because you set the schedule, is icing on the cake.

Fun Fact

Factory 43 designs have earned recognition from Communication Arts and the Society of Illustrators.

Notes from Chris

Episode 822
Graphic designers Veronica Velasco and Andrew Saeger became friends while working for the Post-Intelligencer, an award-winning newspaper in Seattle. They shared a lot of the same tastes and opinions, and both of them had a slight obsession with t-shirts.

After a few years of working on projects together, Veronica and Andrew started to share their doubts about the journalism industry. They knew it wasn’t in a good place, and the future of the industry was too much in doubt. So, they began looking for other options.

They liked the idea of starting their own business. So, combined with their love of t-shirts, they decided they would start a unique t-shirt printing company.

But, like many other best-laid plans, it wasn’t going to be easy. Not long after deciding they wanted to start a business, the Seattle Post Intelligencer closed its doors and left them both out of work. Veronica and Andrew both felt stability was important, especially when it came to starting a business. So they began to look for other jobs, eventually transitioning into the corporate world.

Veronica became a graphic designer for Amazon, and Andrew plied his trade in the world of advertising. And once the pair found themselves with a regular income, they decided to revisit their t-shirt printing business idea.

Their side hustle, Factory 43, takes its name after a cigar company that Andrew’s great, great Grandfather founded in 1890. Saeger & Sons Cigars were created in Factory number 43 and featured the number on the label. It’s also a hat tip to Andy Warhol’s studio, known as “The Factory”.

The goal was to make high-quality t-shirts that would make people laugh. Their prints would be a commentary on the modern world, or the current relatable struggles the founders faced in their day-to-day lives. Veronica and Andrew each invested just $500, with a commitment to not get into debt or overspend their start-up budget.

Factory 43 became a full-time venture for Andrew in 2014, and Veronica left her job at Amazon to join in the following year. They both make enough money to cover each of their respective mortgages and feed their families. In 2018 they sold 8,000 t-shirts and an extra 2,000 prints of their designs!

Veronica says the hardest part of side hustling has been coming to grips with the business side of things. Because they are both creatives, they are prone to pushing off the more mundane office-based tasks. It was a long while before they were finally convinced they needed to set up spreadsheets for their bookkeeping and accounts.

But this is easily outweighed by the benefits. Knowing you’re in control of your future, and nobody will come along and fire you, provided a peace of mind that’s hard to put a price on. And having the flexibility to spend time with friends and family when you want to, because you set the schedule, is icing on the cake.

Factory 43 is hoping to increase the number of customers in its audience. They have a lot of room to grow, and want more people to enjoy their designs. If they do it right, they might find themselves with a business that screen-prints cash!

"You don’t need a business degree to start a side hustle, but it does help if you are able to learn a bit about bookkeeping. College Grads Start Multi-Million Dollar Agency in Social Media Wild West

What It’s About

Opposites attract to take advantage of a growing marketing opportunity!

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

This is a gold rush, moment-in-time story. Unfortunately, you can’t do the same thing now that these people did. So why tell the story? Because the world is constantly changing. We’re always in the midst of one gold rush or another.

When I tell you these historical stories, ask yourself, “Where is the wild west now? What is the opportunity that people are missing, where can I find my gold rush?”

Fun Fact

Katie and Adam couldn’t be more different. They used to have yelling matches that would lead their employees to thinking the company was shutting down. They realized they had to change their debate style before all their employees got tired of it and left.

Notes from Chris

Episode 821

In the pioneer days before Facebook was overrun by memes and fake news, before ads found their way in-between every post, and before just anyone could sign up … it was for college students only. It was also the new wild west for advertising to young people.

Katie Witkin and Adam Gorode didn’t know each other yet, but they were already on paths that would lead to them meeting and building a multi-million dollar cultural ad agency together—and it would all begin with Facebook.

When Adam graduated from Syracuse, he jumped into a handful of internships with companies like Columbia Records. The two music businesses were successful doing things they’d pretty much always done, but Adam saw a new, growing marketing opportunity: this thing called social media.

He began posting events on Facebook with some dramatic results—concerts that traditionally took days of canvassing on campus began selling out in 24 hours. Parties were swamped with hundreds of attendees from out of nowhere. The new platform was unbelievably effective at engaging with people on a deeper, cultural level when compared to traditional ads or flyers.

Adam soon went to work at an early-stage digital agency—but he would only be there a few months. When the economy collapsed, he was let go, but not before he’d gained all the experience he needed. He started pitching and picking up freelance clients around the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, Katie was on a similar journey. She too would be laid off from a 9-5 job in the marketing world a couple years later, but not before meeting Adam at a concert she attended for her own music blog, which was well known. The two hit it off over the next few months, sharing social media strategies and talking about freelance clients over Google chat.

Katie made it the fourth round of interviews of her next job, but before she went to the office, she realized she didn’t even want it. The digital advertising she was doing on the side with music clients who came from her blog was her real passion—and Adam was already gung ho about starting their own agency. She dropped out of the running for the job, and jumped into a new project: to co-create a new cultural marketing agency.

And they called it AGW Group.

The first couple of years came with highs and lows. They somehow generated $500,000 in revenue by the end of that first year, with clients that included MTV and Conde Nast—but they didn’t take any salary for themselves so they could hire employees.

Year 3 turned into a more lucrative year! They finally began taking salaries, and they took out health insurance policies for everyone in the company.

Katie and Adam have been intentional about management ever since—and the results have been dramatic in the long-run. The company itself can now change course for clients like a small motorboat instead of a slow cruise ship. Their employees all the freedom to pursue their own hustles after work. And AGW? Well, it’s now a multi-million dollar business.

Architect Designs Blueprint For Fashionable Online Shop

What It’s About

An architect sews up a creative side hustle … and never has to go to the mall again.

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Setting prices posed a bit of a challenge for Adaezé. Attempting to be highly competitive, she priced her items lower than other sellers, but after taking into consideration the price of her materials and the time she was putting into making them, it just wasn’t a good fit.

So, she started looking at her customer base. Who was she looking to sell to, and what could they feasibly afford? What Adaezé found is that her styles definitely attracted a more adult audience. Most of her customers appreciated classic, but stylish, designs and silhouettes. And more importantly, they were willing to spend a little extra if the outfit was right.

Fun Fact

For inspiration, she spends a lot of time reading magazines or blogs and examining people’s garments when she’s out and about. She wants to see how they’re made, and what she would do differently to add her own twist to a piece.

Speaking of restrictions, there’s no hard and fast rule for where Adaezé sources her fabrics. It really depends on the design she has in mind and the inspiration behind it. However, she leans towards the highest quality materials she can get, while keeping her prices affordable.

Notes from Chris

Episode 819

Adaezé Cadet learned to sew when she was a little girl. Most afternoons, evenings, and weekends were spent with a needle and thread in her hands, learning how to make different pieces of clothing from scratch. It was more than just a childhood hobby, it was her first true passion.

As she grew older, however, sewing fell by the wayside. It was replaced by studies, her social life, and a burning desire to become an architect. By the time she’d graduated and began her first real job, sewing was just a distant memory.

But a few years later, Adaezé relocated to join her company’s Los Angeles office, where she learned that they took part in a yearly charity event. The top firms in LA come together to put on a fashion show with garments made by their employees. The money generated from the sales goes to the cause Free Arts for Abused Childen.

Seeing an opportunity to do some good and get to know her new colleagues better, she volunteered to be on the team. They worked together for months, and the project reignited her passion for sewing and making clothes.

After the event, Adaezé invested in a sewing machine and started making clothes for herself and her friends. She’d create tops and skirts and accessories, then give them away as presents for birthdays and Christmas.

Over time, she began receiving requests to make different garments for her friends, and even friends of friends. She had her own unique style, and people loved that the clothes were handmade.

She knew that people who were already using Etsy favored handmade goods, so it seemed like a prime testing ground for her business. It also had the added bonus of helping her keep costs down. She could refer any of the requests she received to one central hub, where they could see the garments and place orders.

Adaezé called her store House of LVA.

House of LVA is still very much a boutique operation, with profits of around $6,000 a year. Because this is a side hustle for her, she’s had the freedom to let it grow organically before taking larger steps that could potentially occupy more of her time.

Her goal is to grow the income while still keeping it manageable enough to work around her job as an Architect. She loves the idea of spending her days designing timeless hotels, and her evenings creating timeless garments. Adaezé is sewing up her ideal future.

Jealous Designer Starts Popular Art Blog

What It’s About

A designer spins jealousy into opportunity sharing the work of others!

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Each time Danielle shared someone’s work, they’d share her write up with their own audience. And then some of those people would subscribe and become regular readers of The Jealous Curator. For many, it was a great way to get exposure to interesting up and comers in the art scene.

In this way, she started to grow quite a following, and it’s a great method for growing a community!

Fun Fact

There are lots of successful blogs out there that have built a huge following by curating lists of things they’ve found online, and it doesn’t have to be art. Sites like ThisIsWhyImBroke have amassed hundreds of thousands of followers posting about cool gadgets for example.

Notes from Chris

Episode 818

No doubt you’ve heard the story of “the starving artist”. When someone loves the work so much, they’ll do it despite financial hardship. Well, Danielle Krysa of British Columbia wasn’t starving in the traditional sense, but she was eager to do something more with art. She’d always had a creative streak and hoped that one day she’d be able to craft a career around her talents.

But it can be tough to make money as a creative. On top of that, art is often quite subjective. The outside world determines if what you’ve built is valuable or not, and some of the most famous artists in history were only appreciated after their time.

So, like many before her, Danielle hung up her smock and took the “professional route” of the freelance graphic designer. Instead of creating art for art’s sake, she began helping others realize their dreams.

But she didn’t always enjoy it. Although it paid the bills for many years, her heart had an artistic void that no amount of invoicing clients could fill.

The worst thing was that Danielle began to get bitter. She’d look at an artist’s success and be overcome with jealousy. She’d pour so much time into comparing herself to other artists that she had no energy left for her own work.

Not wanting to paint herself into a corner, she decided to turn her jealousy into something positive. In the throws of her artistic pining, Danielle had started following some rather successful blogs on art. While some were posting artwork that was unique to them, many were actually passing the easel off to others, highlighting their work instead.

This concept appealed to Danielle! After some initial reluctance, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. In the beginning, the blog was merely a blank canvas—there was no creative plan or grand vision for it. Her goal was to showcase the work of other artists—the ones who braved the unpredictability of the art world. The ones she was jealous of.

Just like that, the name of the blog wrote itself: “The Jealous Curator”. And since envy was the topic of the day, she even added a fun little tagline to go with it: “I Wish I’d Thought Of That.”

In no time at all, the blank canvas began to fill with color. If she stumbled across an artist’s work she admired, she’d write a few words about it and publish it on the blog. Afterward, she’d reach out to the artist to let them know that they’d been featured.

Although she didn’t realize it at the time, this small piece of outreach enabled her to build a community. Each time she shared someone’s work, they’d share her writeup with their own audience. And then some of those people would subscribe and become regular readers of The Jealous Curator. In this way, she started to grow quite a following.

This community building technique worked well, and her readership grew by leaps and bounds, eventually reaching more than 250,000 Facebook fans and 180,000 on Instagram.

At that stage, only one thing was missing: monetization. Danielle was now an artist in her own unique way, but she was still a struggling artist since she wasn’t getting paid for it. She didn’t want to run ads on the website even after building enough traffic to make it worthwhile. She felt that it would take away from the aesthetic that she had created.

Although Danielle was still working as a freelance graphic designer, several opportunities came her way because of the blog and the huge community of envious art lovers she had grown. She was offered a book deal to write about the dreaded “creative block” that often keeps artists from creating. True to form, she interviewed 50 other artists to weigh in on their tips and tricks for conquering it as well.

That book led to two others through the same publisher, and she began receiving speaking opportunities to share her unique insights with others. She was featured on podcasts like Being Boss and even landed a spot on Oprah’s show and magazine.

Through the books and speaking opportunities, she was beginning to get paid. The money was still such a by-product of enjoying herself that she didn’t even keep track of it. In fact, it wasn’t until Danielle and her husband were doing their taxes in 2016 that she realized that she’d made $40,000 from things related to The Jealous Curator that year.

That number was all the proof she needed to go full-time.

Since making that decision three years ago, Danielle has written another book and significantly increased the number of speaking engagements she makes. There have been so many opportunities that she’s managed to triple her income and has no plans to slow down.

For Danielle, 2019 is all about two things. She’s pitching a kids book and focusing on her own collage-based artwork with a solo show coming up in Toronto. And of course, through all of that, she’ll still be posting daily to The Jealous Curator.

If At First You Don’t Succeed, Tarot Again

What It’s About

Seattle native reads success in the cards after transitioning away from chocolate.

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Here’s some great advice from Wren:

“Put the most effort into what feels best in your business, and at the same time, stay on top of analytics and accounting because those things will give you the most information as to how to proceed at every step. Always, always, pay yourself first (i.e. money in savings), as my Grandfather would say.”

Fun Fact

When Wren printed her first batch of decks, she contacted a domestic printer who connected her with a printer in China. But when she received her decks, they were all stuck together. Her cards have a special silver lining on the edges, and the supplier must have packaged them all while the ink was still hot. So, Wren spent several hours in her living room peeling apart each card one-by-one. Luckily, she was still able to get orders out on time!

After that mishap, she found a new, more reputable printer through Alibaba.

Notes from Chris

Episode 817

Wren McMurdo had a challenging dilemma. As a full-time Content Specialist for an ethical skincare brand in Seattle, she had also started a side hustle making chocolate confections. She developed a recipe for herb-infused dark chocolate coconut patties—and soon it was stocked in local stores.

Wren found herself dreading the arrival of new orders—not a good situation to be in! She realized that she didn’t especially enjoy the work of being a chocolatier. Although she liked creating the recipe, designing the product, and getting it into stores, being a chocolatier also involves making the chocolate. And she spent a lot of time in what she refers to as “less-than-appealing commercial kitchens.” It was a lot of work, and she was too particular about her product to pass production off to a co-packer.

Wren had designed a series of little illustrations to slip inside her chocolate treats, which were called “Dark Days Moon Patties” inspired by the dark moon phase of the lunar cycle, considered by some as a sacred time for rest and reflection. After a delirious night of frustrated patty dipping, she looked at those illustrations and realized that they were perfect for a Tarot deck. This epiphany illuminated a new idea!

Abandoning her chocolate making, Wren decided to focus instead on making Tarot cards with the same “dark days” theme—calling her new project Dark Days Tarot. And rather than creating the traditional rectangular shaped tarot card design, she chose to follow her own path and create square-shaped cards for non-binary readings.

After completing the artwork for her first deck, she was encouraged by friends and former customers to launch a crowdfunding campaign to support her in manufacturing her decks. She utilized Kickstarter’s marketing resources and spent $600 on hiring a small marketing agency. The agency sent out emails to people who backed similar projects, which in turn, brought in several backers.

Through her connections, she also received a prominent mention from a well-known Tarot Card Reader who promoted Wren’s campaign on her site. At the end of the campaign, Wren had fully funded her project (more than $13,000) and was able to move forward with finding a printer.

In 2018, Wren grossed $60,000 in sales and profited $25,000 after all of the production costs and outsourcing of various content and support. She currently brings in about $2,000 in profit each month.

Wren attributes her risk-taking to much of the success she’s experienced lately. When it’s a side hustle, she believes you can take more risks. Since she has a full-time job and income to support her, any risks she takes with her side hustle will minimally impact her. She recommends for anyone launching a side hustle to take a step back and review your social media and various other marketing efforts, and asses what they are actually doing for you. If a certain outlet is not performing well or pulling too much of your energy, it may be time to reconsider.

Coming up next, Wren is creating a new Earth-inspired deck called Mother Tarot which will be launched in Winter 2020. She hopes it will complement the sales of the moon cards, launching the business into a new phase of orbit.

Rustic Wall Hangings Rack Up Worthwhile Profits

What It’s About

Artist goes from part-time to full-time in four months making rustic wall hangings.

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Here’s a practical tip: CJ’s price points are determined by three factors: the size and difficulty of each piece, the materials needed, and then her time. You can find standard calculators online (like this one!) to help you determine the wholesale price of handmade goods. She’d then double that wholesale price for retail sales.

Fun Fact

CJ transitioned her part-time hustle into her full-time hustle after only four months into starting it! She ended her remaining financial obligations and as CJ put it, “jumped off the cliff,” so that she would be hyper-focused in making this new business venture work for her.

Notes from Chris

Episode 816
In Spokane, Washington, CJ Morrison runs her own business hand-crafting unique items made from wood. She builds her pieces in her garage—typically wooden wall art, geometric shelving, and tables—then sells them online and through wholesale accounts.

This is now a very successful endeavor, bringing in a full-time income … but, of course, it wasn’t always that way.

Before starting this side hustle, CJ (and her former partner Joe—who have since parted ways on good terms) were working on other projects, including reselling vintage furniture.

While meeting up with people and selling out of her car was fun, it was also unpredictable. CJ craved something more reliable. She also didn’t want to just be a reseller; she wanted to make something.

Drawing on their vintage furniture arbitrage exploits, CJ and Joe started thinking about ways to use their creative capacities to enhance people’s homes. The idea they chose sprang to life after visiting a friend who had a handmade geometric inlay coffee table. Upon seeing that tabletop, and thinking they could pull off something on par with their friend’s table, they bought a couple of saws and converted their one car garage into a wood shop.

They found some reclaimed wood at a lumberyard and got busy designing. Then, they created their first collection of 12 pieces—art hangings, trays, and tabletops.

It’s worth noting that CJ had zero experience with woodworking outside watching her dad work with tools when she was younger. Joe grew up with a father who was a contractor and learned woodworking from him—but he’d never built any furniture or home goods either.

Together, they learned to use some tools as CJ jumped right in with drawing and creating designs. Basically, learning on the fly. Serendipity arrived when a woman who owned a gallery came to buy a set of vintage side tables and noticed CJ’s collection of wooden wall art panels.

This encounter led to their work being displayed at the woman’s gallery. It was key to getting exposure in the very first month of starting Roaming Roots.

Because they both lived and worked together, CJ and Joe were almost never apart. Their relationship didn’t make it through the stressors of a home-based business and the intensity of the schedule. There was a time when they were working 7 days a week, 10 hrs a day to keep up with the demand for their pieces. They eventually went their separate ways and she took over the business completely, doing everything from creating, to shipping, to all the “behind the scenes” technical work.

She also says if she could go back, she would set more healthy boundaries around her schedule, and change how much time they spent together. But she’s also made peace with the breakup and believes they’re both on better paths now than if they’d stayed together.

Ths business is now earning between $2,000 – $8,000 a month depending on the time of year. CJ is learning new techniques to create more forms of art and wood décor.

She eventually plans to return to school to become a licensed counselor. But for now, there’s a new collection of wall hangings and an interview with her local newspaper that require her attention!

Personal Problem Leads to Profitable Project

What It’s About

No-mess peeing produces private productive profits!

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Tracy learned that it wasn’t the fashion and celebrity market that loved the peeLUX with the most intensity… it was the people who had to wear shapewear after surgery. These customers were desperate for a solution because it directly affected their health and wellbeing.

With that knowledge, Tracy started reaching out to surgeons and doctors on social media, asking them how they helped their patients tackle the issue of peeing in shapewear. And they responded! It just goes to show you that you should always keep an eye out for new markets and opportunities.

Fun Fact

Did you know that SPANX was originally started as a side hustle as well? Founder Sara Blakely was getting ready for a party when she realized she didn’t have the right undergarment to provide a smooth look under white pants. Armed with scissors and sheer genius, she cut the feet off her control top pantyhose and the SPANX revolution began! With a focus on solving wardrobe woes, the SPANX brand has grown to offer bras, underwear, leggings, active and more and has secured its place in women’s hearts and in pop-culture with daily mentions everywhere from CNN to SNL.

Notes from Chris

Episode 815
Like all of our profiles, Tracy Bech is a side hustler. She’s also a working mom with a job in marketing, and once had an online jewelry store. But we’re not going to talk about jewelry today. We’re going to talk about a more personal problem faced by millions of women who wear shapewear.

Shapewear—for the guys out there or anyone else who’s unfamiliar—are those super-tight undergarments that some women wear after surgeries or just to look more slimming under a fancy dress.

After experiencing her own issues, Tracy looked around online and found comfort in the thousands of women complaining that it was way too easy to make a mess trying to pee while wearing shapewear. The small opening for getting business done just doesn’t work—there had to be a better way.

And there was! One day when Tracy was cooking dinner, she noticed something that looked almost perfect: a kitchen funnel.

Tracy gave it a shot, and sure enough, she left the restroom feeling clean and confident… and then she told her husband that the funnel shouldn’t be used for cooking anymore.

It was obvious, however, that a kitchen funnel wasn’t the best long-term solution. There needed to be an easier and faster, not to mention more portable way for women to relieve themselves while wearing shapewear. And as a side hustler, Tracy wanted to be the one to invent it.

She’d read all about how Sara Blakely of SPANX solved a common problem millions of women experience and became a mega-millionaire (you may have seen her as a shark on Shark Tank), so Tracy figured her idea was worth going after.

She took the problem to her husband, Tyler, who conveniently worked as a professional product designer. They began working on prototypes. It took a few rounds of 3D printing—as well as a handful of awkward conversations—but they finally landed on a design that functioned smoothly just two months later.

While the manufacturer was getting everything set up, Tracy applied as a seller on Amazon and listed her prototypes under the brand name peeLUX. And, a bit to her surprise, they sold organically—without any ads—in just a couple of weeks!

Sixteen months in, the new product brings in just over $1,000 per month—and sales are trending upward. But while the growth is exciting, it’s not the most rewarding part.

Answering the call of nature in shapewear is no longer an anxiety-inducing activity for women across the country—and for Tracy, that’s the greatest prize of all.

Cocktail Lovers Earn Liquid Profits from Boozy Pins

What It’s About

Cocktail pins lead to intoxicating profits for two expats!

[podcast_details]

Words of Wisdom

Looking at starting an intoxicating side hustle of your own? Well, Brian says that you should study the market and find what people are passionate about. He also says that going super-niche is ok for this kind of side hustle, and we agree!

Fun Fact

When Brian and Gillian made their first sale, they celebrated with drinks, of course! They drank a negroni and an old fashioned, after their first two designs.

Notes from Chris

Episode 814

Five years ago, Brian Burgess decided that he was going to make his wife a Sazerac cocktail, no matter what it took. Although originally from the United States, the two had been living in Barcelona for the better part of a year. Several of the ingredients for the classic New Orleans cocktail, including absinthe and Peychaud’s bitters, were thousands of miles away.

Brian was determined, though. He and Gillian had met in New Orleans during college, and her birthday was coming up. It felt special—so he had to find a way.

After some searching, he managed to scrounge up a bottle of absinthe, the bitters, and of course, the right brand of rye whiskey just in time. The two sat out on their tiny balcony overlooking the city, enjoying their drinks.

Brian says now that he’s not sure if that’s when his love of cocktails began, but if it wasn’t then, it was shortly thereafter.

Over the course of the next four years, cocktails became a meaningful part of their lives. The pair had thought of a couple of side hustles involving drinks in some way—from reselling antique barware to starting their own gin distillery. But then, in March of 2018, they had a new idea. One that would be a lot simpler and cheaper.

They were on a trip to Germany. While perusing the local shops, they found one selling enamel pins. This instantly reminded Brian of one of his old side hustles. Back when he was a graphic designer, he’d created and sold buttons for fun. The buttons ultimately didn’t work out—they weren’t very lucrative—but the pins were a similar concept and could be sold for a lot more.

If he could apply his old skills to this new hustle, it might become an intoxicating profit center. So when they got home, he began researching the pins to see how they were doing in the market. Brian found that they were a hot product and that many buyers were hardcore pin collectors. He saw pictures of bartenders with aprons covered in pins … and that’s when it hit him: he could make cocktail-themed pins.

Six months after stumbling on the idea, they were ready to launch. During those months they spent about $800 on startup costs, including a business license, a PO Box, the material for the pins, and shipping and packaging supplies.

By the time they started selling, they had a second pin and it was mid-October. Although they didn’t realize it at the time, this aligned perfectly with the upcoming holiday shopping season. By late December, they had nearly sold out of all 200 of their initial stock, and they needed to put another order in with their supplier.

Even in these early days, they’ve made at least $500 in profit each month, and they no longer have to put any of their personal funds into the business.

Although making a little extra cash is awesome for Brian, another big advantage of this hustle is that it coincides with some of his bigger goals. He’s still thinking about opening up a gin distillery for a few years. Thanks to Tipsy Per Tutti, he’s building valuable connections with bartenders and suppliers everywhere.

We can all drink to that!
