What's up? Welcome my friends to 2020. Welcome to something very new. My name is Chris Guillebeau. This is Side Hustle School.
Like I said, breaking news, everything is new. For the very first time in three years, and I do mean exactly three years since January 1, 2017, we are reinventing the format of Side Hustle School. I've been working on this behind the scenes for several months and I'm excited to kick things off today. So here's what's gonna happen. I wanna make sure you understand long time listeners, here is what is not changing.
Okay, number one, the daily format. It's still every day. We're still bringing you a different episode every single day. Yes, that does mean seven days a week. And the episodes are still short, less than 10 minutes per episode on average.
I want this to be practical, helpful and insightful to you. I wanna give you lots of detail, but I also want to respect your time. Our market is people who are really busy with all kinds of stuff. They got their day job, they've got their family, they've got other responsibilities, hobbies, et cetera. Your Cytosil should work for you and not the other way around.
All right, number two, the other thing that's not changing is the message. We are still about helping people with jobs embrace the world of money making side projects. So maybe if you're out there, you have never identified as an entrepreneur, but you understand the importance of having more than one source of income. You're like, how do I do that? Like, how do I make that happen?
Well, I've got all this other stuff I'm doing. I don't wanna take a lot of risk. I don't wanna go into debt. Well, if that's you, keep listening. Okay, so those things are consistent.
What is changing? And by the way, welcome to everyone who's joining in this week. We're expecting a bunch of new people to begin listening for the first time. I'm so glad you're here as well. You can go back and listen to more than 1,000 archives, more than 1,000 detailed stories of real people out there making money, doing something they're excited about.
So all of that is freely available. But if you just wanna jump in now, that's okay too. What is changing is that 2020 is the year of interaction. The very best thing about my job is the community. I noticed this whenever I do anything from book events across the country to the World Domination Summit, the annual conference I host in Portland, Oregon, just reading my emails every single day.
Truly and honestly, the best part is everybody out there who has exciting, interesting projects of their own or is just trying to figure themselves out because we are all on a journey. And so towards the second part of last year, I started thinking, we need to do more check-ins with listeners. So this year in real time, we're gonna do a year of question and answers and instruction where I guide many of our listeners, perhaps even you, as they go from idea to income. This is essentially live coaching for free and you can listen in and learn as we go. So we're still gonna have two case studies or stories each week.
The other days will consist of Q and A, that'll be three days a week and new classroom series where I'll be teaching in a start to finish format starting on Monday and then going every Monday throughout the year. And then for the sixth day of the week, we got something else we're working on, something else that's special. So I'll tell you about that when we're ready to roll it out soon. Now listen, you can also participate, right? This is not just passively listening, although you're welcome to passively listen, but I also wanna invite you to actively participate.
