Reviews to Riches with Nutrition School promotion. Hey friends, hey, Side Hustle School community. Welcome back. Welcome to a brand new month, episode 2,770 here. In this week's Throwback Thursday segment, we're gonna hear from an affiliate for a nutrition school who turns her reviews and videos into a lucrative business.
She is earning $5,000 a month on a regular basis, sometimes up to $20,000 a month during peak periods. So that sounds pretty good to me. You know, sometimes people are like, "Oh, you're talking about Side Hustles. "Is that like driving for Lyft or Uber "or delivering for DoorDash?" I'm like, "No, no. "We're interested in people who are, "first of all, using skills, "like they're using specific knowledge, expertise "they have developed over time.
"And then secondly, they're earning real money, you know, "they're earning actual money that you could live off of "or potentially build to a day job replacement "kind of salary situation. "And then also critically, often we're looking at projects "that are about passive income "or at least semi-passive income "where you're creating assets. "This person here today, she's written a bunch of reviews, "made videos and so on. "And then once those are published, "it doesn't mean she can turn her back forever "and she'll always make, you know, "a million dollars or something. "But it does mean she can kind of go on "with the rest of her life.
"And periodically, she's gonna get these emails that say, "you know, she has made, "I think she earns like $1,000 or $1,500 per referral." So those are nice emails to get, especially when you've already made the video a week ago or a month ago or six months ago. So that's what I wanna help you do, listeners in your own way, whatever that looks like, passive income for you. So in this series, Throwback Thursday, we kind of get an update from somebody that we featured at some point in the Distant Archives, more than 2,700 episodes as noted. So let's hear today from Megan. Megan is this affiliate marketer for a nutrition school.
She's got some updates, some ideas that might get somebody thinking. So let's pass the mic to her. I'll be back at the end. [Music]
Hi, I'm Megan. So when I first appeared on the show, I was just getting started as an affiliate marketer for a nutrition school.
The school offers comprehensive programs in holistic nutrition. And for each student I referred, I could earn up to $1,500. I began this journey by just leveraging my natural passion for nutrition and health to create engaging content that would also attract potential students. I started by writing detailed reviews of the school's programs. I shared my own experiences and insights, which really helped to establish my credibility.
And I posted those reviews on my blog and shared them across my various social media platforms. To attract more traffic, I optimized my content for search engines using relevant keywords and phrases. One of my first bigger strategies was to create a series of YouTube videos. So in these videos, I reviewed the courses, I shared testimonials from past students, and I offered tips on how to succeed in the programs. My really honest and thorough reviews resonated with viewers, and so I quickly built a following, and I just included my affiliate links in the video descriptions, which made it really easy for interested viewers to go ahead and just sign up.
As my audience grew, so did my referrals. I consistently posted new content, including blog articles, video updates, and even live Q&A sessions where I would answer questions about the nutrition school. And this really interactive approach helped me build trust and rapport with my audience. I also wrote a free ebook on holistic nutrition tips, which I offered as a lead magnet. It really helped to grow my email list and allowed me to send targeted content and promotions directly to interested prospects.
During busy promotional periods, like enrollment drives or special discounts, I would ramp up content production and email campaigns to then maximize my reach. Thanks to my consistent efforts, I began earning well over $5,000 a month in affiliate commissions. The key was just providing valuable content that genuinely helped people make informed decisions about their education. My peak months were during major promotions where I sometimes earned as much as $20,000. I continued to create high quality content that attracts new prospects and drives referrals, and the nutrition school has become a major part of my income.
I've also expanded my affiliate marketing efforts to include related health and wellness products. So my approach combines research, genuine recommendations, and consistent engagement with my audience. This strategy not only boosts my earnings, but it also helps prospective students find the right educational path in holistic nutrition, which I love. Looking back, starting as an affiliate for the nutrition school was honestly one of the best decisions I've made in the world of side hustling. From earning my first referral to now generating substantial monthly income, it's all been incredibly rewarding.
I'm so excited to continue growing my business and helping others discover the benefits of a holistic nutrition education. [Music]
