Now the podcast continues to roll out even as I'm on book tour. It's been such a busy and intense month, month meaning from the middle of August until now. I hope your time has been full as well, at least full with something that you find enjoyable and meaningful, not just stuff that takes your time. A lot of what we try to do is help you find something that's meaningful that makes extra money, substantial extra money, so that you can do more of what's important to you while also hopefully helping other people at the same time. That is the goal.
With that in mind, last week we heard from an Australian who turns to LinkedIn, starts pitching companies on a specific service to audit their sales and marketing process. And this is going really well, earning over $5,000 a month part time. So today we've got a similar result, very different project, different person, but similar outcome. We're gonna hear from a business coach in Minneapolis who helps female entrepreneurs optimize their websites. This is a seasonal business, but it's earning up to $6,000 a month when it's in motion.

Hey there, I'm Jessica.
And if you had told me a few years ago that I'd be spearheading a side hustle from my cozy apartment in Minneapolis and helping female entrepreneurs shine online, I would have been skeptical. However, I feel that life has its way of taking us on unexpected journeys. And mine led me to empower budding girl bosses to optimize their online presence. I work in digital marketing for a national agency and I always found it rewarding to help big brands elevate their online status. But a turning point came when I enrolled in this online course, Marie Forleo's B-School.
As I navigated through the course, networking with fellow members, I was struck by the sheer number of talented female entrepreneurs who are being held back. Not by their business acumen, but by technical challenges like SEO and WordPress setup. I began assisting a few of them pro bono and witnessing their businesses transform and watching them reclaim their online space with confidence was the push I needed. Leveraging the network I built through the course and other relationships, my client list started to grow by word of mouth. LinkedIn played an instrumental role too, with a tailored profile emphasizing my specialization.
I got involved in groups for female entrepreneurs. My strategy was simple, share genuine value, be it tips, advice or insights, and let my expertise do the talking. The approach paid off. With steady referrals and organic reach from LinkedIn, I began averaging about $4,000 per month from this endeavor alone. In some months, it's as much as 6,000.
One of my most memorable collaborations was with Sarah. She was a dynamic fitness instructor looking to expand her reach online. She found me through a recommendation on a B-School forum. While her content was top-notch, her website struggled with visibility. After a month of working closely, we managed to triple her online traffic.
Sarah even hosted a special workout session in my honor to share her gratitude. I loved seeing our professional collaboration intertwined with her personal appreciation. For anyone looking to tread this path, here's what I've learned. Don't be everything to everyone. My focus on female entrepreneurs gave me an edge and made me the go-to person for a specific need.
Networking is key. Whether it's through courses like B-School or platforms like LinkedIn, create meaningful connections and consistently provide value. Stay updated. Digital trends are ever-evolving. Dedicate time to understand new CEO strategies and WordPress updates.
Balance is essential. Juggling a full-time job and a side hustle requires discipline. Set dedicated hours for your hustle and know when to take a step back. Deliver excellence, especially when starting. Your reputation will hinge on every project.
Go the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction. My journey to running a successful side hustle has been fulfilling. The extra income is amazing, but the real joy lies in helping other women find their voice online. If you're on the fence about starting, remember, every big endeavor begins with that first step.
