Hey there, it's Chris Guillebeau coming to you live from Johannesburg, South Africa. That's right, I am on the road. I'm actually gonna be back on the day that this episode goes out, but recording a couple of days in advance due to travel and the holiday. So I'm using a bit of a travel recording setup here just in case it sounds a little bit different. Big thanks to Chuck, our producer, for working his audio magic.

He contributes a great deal to the show. I really appreciate you, Chuck. Anyway, listeners, I thought I would do something a little bit different today and just record a short message for you. Now, of course, it is Thanksgiving. Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

I realize our audience is global, like nearly half of you are listening from outside the US. Nevertheless, wherever you are in the world, it is a day of thankfulness, at least for me, and I am still thankful for you, wherever you happen to be. And when I started Side Hustle School way back in January 2017, that was what, 2,000 plus days ago, I had no idea I would still be going all this time later. I knew, okay, we're gonna do a year, we committed to do one full year, and then I thought maybe two years, but definitely wouldn't have predicted six seasons and counting. And the fact that it's continued is because of you, our listeners.

So over the past couple of months, I've had a couple of minor setbacks. If you have noticed our diligent listeners, those who pay close attention, close retention to me sometimes, if you have noticed the show notes on the website aren't always in perfect order recently, or if you haven't got all the mailings properly, depending on what mailing list you're on, that's probably my fault. And we also have added another Q&A episode in place of the weekly story for the past few weeks. Just so you know, that's not a long-term change, it's just something temporary. I'm working on onboarding a new team member who's gonna help me out, so hopefully that'll be in place soon.

And naturally, your comments and suggestions are always welcome. Just wanna be very clear that I want to improve. We've been doing it all this time, but I want to keep improving and making something that is helpful for you. Now, a lot of people have been asking about, okay, what's coming next? Well, we are indeed going to do another season, starting in January, that will be season number seven.

And of course, I want to keep things fresh. So I'll say more about that a bit later. Also, next year, I'll have a new book out. It's coming out in August, fingers crossed. I just need to finish the manuscript.

It's part of what's keeping me busy these days. But I'm gonna hit the deadline, I have faith. And I'll be touring the US, Canada, and the UK, hopefully elsewhere at some point, but definitely North America and the UK next summer. So, look forward to hearing more about that in the months to come, but mostly look forward to more stories, tips, features, questions and answers, maybe some new segments. Who knows?
