Hey, Chris, this is Thomas from Jackson, and I've been listening to your show for a couple years now. It's been part of my daily commute, actually. Speaking of driving, so my side hustle idea is a road trip kit that combines a few helpful and fun items in a box that sells at truck stops and gift shops and things like that.
So you get a compass, an old school atlas of US roadmaps, an air freshener, maybe some snacks that you can't get at the average store. I know that people don't need a compass or paper maps to drive these days, but the idea is that it's a cool gift or even just a nice thing to buy for yourself. I might even include a mix tape if I can figure out how to make them. Maybe cassette players will make a comeback. What are your thoughts on this idea?

Thomas, I think this is a pretty cool idea, actually. I think this is a cool gift idea. It's much more a gift than something that is useful, like you can include some useful items with it, but I think it's something that's fun. It sparks nostalgia.
So make sure you have a target market in mind because you mentioned truck stops and truckers are very different than the average person who's going on a road trip. And of course, people going on a road trip do so for all sorts of different reasons. So there's a lot we could say about that to narrow down a bit further. I like selling them in gift shops more than truck stops, and also on Amazon. Selling on Amazon, using the fulfillment by Amazon model, seems like a natural fit for this kind of thing.
So there could be themes. You could have a graduation road trip kit. You could have a moving cross country road trip kit, and so on. So I think it's cool and it doesn't have to be only useful items. I love the mix tape idea.
