What It's About

Today's listener wants to build a business through Amazon. Has their prime idea already shipped?

Notes from Chris

Episode 1726
In year one of the podcast, we featured several stories of people who had done very well using the Merch by Amazon platform to sell t-shirts and other print-on-demand items. Some of our listeners had success with it as well, including one who made more than $30,000 in less than a year.

It was especially interesting because this could be a zero-dollar startup with no inventory and no ongoing costs whatsoever.

Opportunities come and go, however, and today’s caller is wondering about this one in particular. Is it still worth it?

"Hello Chris, this is Lucas from Jacksonville, Florida and I’ve recently found your show through a friend’s suggestion. A couple of years ago, you had some stories about people designing t-shirts for sale through a program called Merch by Amazon. I just heard those episodes and went to look—and it seems like the program is still active. Has anything changed? Is this still a good idea? If you think it still has potential, what are the most important things to know before getting started? Thanks and looking forward to what you have to say about this."
