A lot of people are reselling … I often mention it as the easiest side hustle you can get started with now. But here’s another way to think of it: what can you sell to them?

In the California gold rush, some of the people who got rich were the ones who sold the shovels. Serve the non-stop flood of arriving prospectors (and increase the prices, of course - this is supply and demand) instead of gambling on finding the right plot of land somewhere in the desert.

Plus, live in San Francisco instead of inland … much better saloons and baseball games there.

How does that apply to the modern world of reselling?

My question is, how can I help resellers? I’ve heard you talk more about reselling recently, and I know a lot of people are experimenting with selling items on platforms like NextDoor and OfferUp. What if I don’t want to resell stuff myself (at least not all the time) but find some way I can help the resellers source products? I’m thinking I could scout for popular items and then offer them to the reseller, while taking a percentage for myself. Am I crazy? How would you suggest I do this?
