It’s with this principle in mind that I offer you a weekly segment called Failure Friday: a collection of short stories all about mistakes, missteps, disasters, and of course, failure. Just like our Throwback Thursday segment, you’ll hear directly from side hustlers who have struggled to get something off the ground. They’ll tell you a short story of something that went very wrong. Today’s short story features Jack from Milwaukee. He run an advisory service in his spare time when he’s not working in finance during the day. Since he’s a busy guy, he assumed that getting some help in the form of an assistant would be a good idea. And maybe it still will be at some point—but the first go-around didn’t go so well.
